colour names are confusing me !!!

Post by bridgey »

ok, so ive got a silver/pallid cock and a green/blue hen. After doing some research, im all confused now with what off spring will happen.

So is my silver is Grey (sf) blue cinnamon / pallid ? Im told off previous owners they had Lime babies from this pair so im guesing cock is split pallid, that makes sense doesn't it then?

ive heard some say Lime, others Palld others lacewing. Are they the same ?
Also after reading "Colour mutations" by Terry Martin, worth buying as its a grerat book, that silver is actually Fawn?!

PLEAS HELP IM ALL CONFUSED

so if this couple have had a lime ( or lacewing or pallid or what ever you call it now), does that mean the cock is split pallid then?

Yes that's correct. If a Pallid is bred from them, he is split Pallid.
