We don't have the exact bird, but have bred some violet blue CHF. So you are just shorting turquoise.

There were some cobalt violet CHF and what I believe to be a cobalt violet(df) CHF, but you've asked nicely not for that, so I won't post pictures.

Nice pics, Madas! :D

So, what is the feeling: would the violet turqblue CHF or the violet indigoblue CHF be the better looking bird, esp. for mature male?

No i haven't. Mr. Bastiaan has some pairs which can give him such birds this season. SO let's wait what he will get.

Thanks Stefan,

I'll have to wait for 2015 season with him.
here he is:
Image
Remarks: excellent vibrant color on him.

I would tell you what his brother is but you will probably doubt it is so...

Ok, I'll say it anyway  it is a violet saddleback/chf

i told you you'll doubt me

(I obviously wanted to acquire it but no chance, breeder is keeping the SB/chf)

Now that is a bird I'll gladly trade you 2x cobalt violet CHFs for. You'll have all the structural mutations you need in a CHF, and I'll have one stunning dominant pied. Love the spangled markings, my favourite morphotype. :D
