Hi,

not that hard but takes some time if you want to exclude "possible splits". Birds needed: 2,0 opaline; 2,2 cleartail (why two of each???).

First step should always be to pair up a opaline male to a cleartail female:

=======================================
1,0 opaline green x 0,1 cleartail green
=======================================
% from all 1,0

1,0 100% green /opaline /cleartail
---------------------------------------
% from all 0,1

0,1 100% opaline green /cleartail

After this step you have two opportunities. The short with "possible splits" which a experienced breeder won't take ;) and the long way which moves on as follows. The female offspring from step one has to be paired up with cleartail males giving you the needed cleartail /opaline males. This is step two.

==================================================
1,0 cleartail green x 0,1 opaline green /cleartail
==================================================
% from all 1,0

1,0 50% cleartail green /opaline
1,0 50% green /opaline /cleartail
--------------------------------------------------
% from all 0,1

0,1 50% cleartail green
0,1 50% green /cleartail

Step 3 would be pairing up the cleartail /opaline males with opaline /cleartail females:

===========================================================
1,0 cleartail green /opaline x 0,1 opaline green /cleartail
===========================================================
% from all 1,0

1,0 25% cleartail green /opaline
1,0 25% green /opaline /cleartail
1,0 25% opaline cleartail green
1,0 25% opaline green /cleartail
-----------------------------------------------------------
% from all 0,1

0,1 25% cleartail green
0,1 25% green /cleartail
0,1 25% opaline cleartail green
0,1 25% opaline green /cleartail

As you can see the offspring for each step is 100% identifiable.

After getting a opaline cleartail males and females you could go on as follows. the males should be paired to cleartail females which gives you 50% cleartail /opaline males and 50% opaline cleartail females. Furthermore the females should be paired to the double split males. For both 100% identifiable offpsring.

=================================================
1,0 opaline cleartail green x 0,1 cleartail green
=================================================
% from all 1,0

1,0 100% cleartail green /opaline
-------------------------------------------------
% from all 0,1

0,1 100% opaline cleartail green

===========================================================
1,0 green /opaline /cleartail x 0,1 opaline cleartail green
===========================================================
% from all 1,0

1,0 25% cleartail green /opaline
1,0 25% green /opaline /cleartail
1,0 25% opaline cleartail green
1,0 25% opaline green /cleartail
-----------------------------------------------------------
% from all 0,1

0,1 25% cleartail green
0,1 25% green /cleartail
0,1 25% opaline cleartail green
0,1 25% opaline green /cleartail

There is a third opportunity but it isn't the best and only fore money makers. :D

greetings.
