I have a pallidino cock paired to a blue pallid hen. from this pair i can get pallids split blue in cocks and hens as well as pallidino cocks and ino/blue hens. My question is that in the nest is two green pallids and one yellow bird that i'm not sure is a ino or a pallidino :? . this baby has bright red eyes doe's this mean it's defently the ino/blue hen or do pallidino's when young also have bright red eyes. I was thinking that pallidino's eye's would be a plum colour in the nest like pallids :?: . This is there first season together so didn't have young last year to compare to. Thanks Smick.

Hi Smick both ino and pallidIno will have red eyes
Pallids are also born with red eyes which get darker with age

Thanks

Thanks, lushen for the reply. my young pallids have a deep red plum coloured eye whilst this birds eye is a light bright red. the flight are growing now and are white,so i would guess it is a lutino/blue hen, thanks mick
