Grey

Post by redticker »

I'm new to IRNs so any help would be appreciated. I have a Grey male that has some green tint in his wings, what would I classify this mutation as? What would be the best mutation to breed him to? Thanks in Advance.

It could be a Turquoise Grey which would account for the Green tinge in the Wings. You could breed it with a Blue Hen which would give you Turquoise Grey, Grey, Turquoise Blue and Blue. If you bred it with a Green hen split blue then you could add Green and Grey Green to the possibilities.

A turq grey does not have green anywhere on it's body. It has grey green on the body. I suggest you post some pics for clarification.

He has green on his wings and his head. Its not a lot. It looks more like the grey when hit with proper lighting appears to be green. I will get a photo of him today. No green in the body, just the wings and that head.
