I bought a blue cock to put with a pastel violet hen but when i got him the breeder said it was a dominant edged (fallow). What is the difference between that and a normal blue. Would it be worth putting it with the pastel violet or get something else

The Dom edge blue is a lighter bird with bleached flights. The normal blue has black flights. The double factor Dom edge violet is not a commonly available bird and must be a looker. You can produce this bird by second generation line breeding. Post a pic of the cock to confirm it's color.

I'm not sure. It's probably a shade darker. The dbl fctr Dom violet will probably have lavender like colour . Not sure if it has been bred yet. If it has then I would love to see it.
