ok so ive got some chicks that im hand raising at the moment,
2 greys from grey parents, and 2 blues form blur parents.
i recall that the breeder told me that one of the clutches could be split for lacewing, (i think its the blues)
as one chic has normal dark blue flights and tail where its sibling is an over all lighter shade of blue and have very light and some waht patchy coloured flight and tail feathers, the parents (aviary stock) looked like normal blues.
can ony one clear this up for me, dose this sound like a lace wing?
i have a photo if that will hellp
please excuse the food mess.
blue lacewing?

Re: blue lacewing?
Looks like a standard blue to me. A lacewing blue has a yellow head, wings and tail.
I have 5 "standard" blues who are all different shades.

Re: blue lacewing?
ok thanks so much guys
i just wasent sure prior to having this bird i have only seen the dark more solid shades in the blue colour.
its sibling is more like waht i have been used to, this one just seamed odd to me as i havent seen a blue that is so light before, if that makes sence.
