Re: What to put with blue hen?
i am a big fan of cobalts and violets?
Blue x cobalt
50%blue and 50%cobalt
blue and violet blue
50%blue and 50%violet
or maybe lacewings? you can get very nice colours with these mutations.

Hi,
Ok ill start with blue with blue pallid
1.0 blue pallid x 0.1 blue
% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 blue /pallid
% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 blue pallid
Green pallid x blue
% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 green /blue pallid
% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 pallid /blue
1.0 grey(sf) blue pallid x 0.1 blue
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 grey(sf) blue /pallid
50.0% 1.0 blue /pallid
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 grey(sf) blue pallid
50.0% 0.1 blue pallid
1.0 turquoise(parblue)Blue pallid x 0.1 blue
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue /pallid
50.0% 1.0 turquoise(parblue)Blue /pallid
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue pallid
50.0% 0.1 turquoise(parblue)Blue pallid
1.0 blue violet(sf) pallid x 0.1 blue
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue /pallid
50.0% 1.0 blue violet(sf) /pallid
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue pallid
50.0% 0.1 blue violet(sf) pallid
1.0 D blue pallid x 0.1 blue
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue /pallid
50.0% 1.0 D blue /pallid
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue pallid
50.0% 0.1 D blue pallid
You may also want you boy to be split to cinnamon. if so just add 50%Z of the hens to be cinnamon
eg.
1.0 blue pallid /cinnamon x 0.1 blue
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue /cinnamon-pallid
50.0% 1.0 blue /pallid
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue pallid
50.0% 0.1 blue cinnamon pallid
hope this helps, any more questions just ask,

Re: What to put with blue hen?
i also have a cinnamon hen, i was trying to find out how i could get some baby cinnamons but didnt find anything other then having a male cinnamon
Re: What to put with blue hen?
Hi,
I agree with David, best way to produce different colours other than the ones you have stated is to add lacewing (pallid) cock in either pastelblue (turqoiseblue), blue, violetblue or cobalt. It depends on how much you want to pay as you will pick up blue & pastleblues fairly cheaply and pay a lot more for violetblue & cobalts lacewings.
You have got to remeber the lacewing will wash out the primary colour being blue, violetblue or cobalt.
Pastelblue or real name turqoiseblue will change bird to more yellowish colour in lacewings with a blue wash through, hard to explain pictures worth a thousand words.
If you wanted a strong colour then straight violet or cobalt is the way to go but you will pay real dollars as David has quoted previously. Also if you really serious go with emerald but you will pay even bigger dollars.
We keep pastleblue (turquoiseblue) & violetblue lacewings (pallid) and they all differ in colour.
I have used the wording pastleblue lacewing as this is what you hear from most breeders in Australia until everyone switches over to the latest naming ((turqoise)(pallid)).
Hope this helps out and get onto some web sites with photos, this will give the best idea of how the colours look.
