Pallid

Post by Rueae »

I couldn't think of a better title for the topic, sorry.
Anyway, I cannot for the life of me figure out this gencalc business so...I figured I'd ask you guys.

Blue pallid hen X Truq pallid cock?

While I'm at it

Albino hen X DF violet cock?

She'd have to be sexually mature, so not really.
However, I have found a violet male.

Not sure if I want to get him or the pallid pair. :P

Hi,
Here are our outcomes.

Blue pallid hen X Truq pallid cock

% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 turquoise(parblue)Blue pallid

% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 turquoise(parblue)Blue pallid

Albino hen X DF violet cock

% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 blue violet(sf) /ino

% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 blue violet(sf)

not sure If its a DF violet looking at the other picture so here is just a normal violet.. just incase

Albino hen X Violet cock

% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 blue /ino
50.0% 1.0 blue violet(sf) /ino

% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 blue
50.0% 0.1 blue violet(sf)

What does parblue mean?
Will they all basically look like the cock?
The blue pallid and truq pallid babes, I mean.

And Ink and the violet boy will only have albinos, blues and blue-violets?
That's what I gathered anyway.

So albinos can give albino and blue genes? :P

Hi,
parblue mean turquoise. :)
yes they will look like the cock but more of a bluish tinge.
and you albino pair and violet will not have any albinos if you were after albinos the cock would have to be the albino and the hen the violet.
An albino IRN have the gene ino and blue which makes white
An Lutino IRN have the gene ino and green which makes yellow

Sorry for the double post. ><

How about:

Blue pallid X turq violet
Turq pallid X turq violet
?

Is there some guide to using the gencalc I have missed? :T

hi,
no problem, you didnt say which bird was the cock so ill take a guess and say the violet turq is.

Blue pallid X turq violet

% from all 1.0

50.0% 1.0 turquoise(parblue)Blue /pallid
50.0% 1.0 turquoise(parblue)Blue violet(sf) /pallid

% from all 0.1

50.0% 0.1 turquoise(parblue)Blue
50.0% 0.1 turquoise(parblue)Blue violet(sf)

Turq pallid X turq violet

% from all 1.0

50.0% 1.0 turquoise(parblue) /pallid
50.0% 1.0 turquoise(parblue) violet(sf) /pallid

% from all 0.1

50.0% 0.1 turquoise(parblue)
50.0% 0.1 turquoise(parblue) violet(sf)

i havent found a guide for the gen calc but there are some posts on this forum discussing this topic.
