Cupcake and Buttercup

Well it seems when I play cupcake irish music she starts making noises but it doesn't sound like she is talking it is just noises is this how a indian ringneck sounds when they first start? I am not sure what to make of
buttercrup my cockatiel she is usually quiet but she has been loud all day today how can I solve that problem? Buttercup has been a quiet bird and all of a sudden she has chirrped all day I think she is going through a mating stage she had a tail a certain way in her cage and sounded like she wanted to lay an egg. She did lay her first egg a couple of weeks ago. I have had buttercup for 8 years. Do you think she wants to mate with cupcake? I don't know what to do should I take cupcake back to the flea market and get my money back. I want the best for buttercup. I have both birds in dif rooms.
