change in a split second

Post by leo »

this afternoon, tango extra nippy...he bites( chew) reall hard...really hard and woulden't stop...this time, he chew my finger...and my hand, my finger nail and my skin....really...he really moody...wouldn't do shake hand and wave too...and complately ignore the no biting + evil eye command...i don know wether he bite or chew...i think both...really hard....the hardest so far...in the morning he is still a loving baby...

its just like i took him out, he is okay, then i put ihim back, i bath and took hm out again, and he is already an evil

i think he reaching the real blufing stage...

but he also extra chatty today...trying to withle and talk alot today...respond to shake hand command verbally(mumbleing something), but never do the hand shaking....

any advise please...

Hi Leo

I know you do clicker training with Tango... When he starts behaving in a way you don't like, go back and do some training with him, which he knows really well.... Usually targeting...

I find doing that, puts them right back to being nice..
Cheers

If Tango is not much of a night bird, I would not try to socialise then... When he's nice in the mornings, that's the time to 'hang out' with him.

If I decide I want a shower just after I've taken a bird out, I'll take the bird in the shower with me...He'll sit on the top of the shower, some will join in, just their decision...
Cheers

yea...tango have not have any shower since the rat accident...
he scrared of water...really will fly away once see water...

usually tango is nice, at least never bite be too hard...in all time...

but today, he really pesistance in getting my flesh off....

i did the clicke training just to intro the new concept of the trick...so far, he can do wave and shake hand really well...

but today, he really ignore the command...its not like agrasion, but like just chew and bite...no lounging...he become really active in chewing...

u are right, doing the trick he already know well will work, but, this case, i cant even carry out the trick...

beside all, he really chatty...really chatty...

thanks lene

Leo sometimes it's just better to leave them alone for a day or 2. They hate to be ignored and will try anything to get your attention again.

he bite lesser today...much lesser but, he still did, and it is very painful 1...

i try to not play with him too much...he seems to not to be resting...his feather keep tight and then neck is long...giving posture like he is very proud and elert...al the time...when i holding and shaking the toy ball(the ball that inside got bell) he lounge at it, pin and open the wing abit a while then walk aroun it and attack the ball again...
is it male dance ?

he don chatter like yesterday...he just kept quiet....

is he in bluffing stage?
