weird lil dance

cookie has a strange lil habit of placing a toy on the floor then with his head on the ground beak first he will hop backwards around the toy in a circle then he will stand on one foot put his wings out and jump around it the he sits on the toy has a few good bites at it and starts again i've tried to get it on camera but he stops when i pull it out. Does anyone elses IRN do this is it normal? it's very funny

Its male display .. Cookie is being a beautiful little boy. Very normal. Hoping on the toy is probably him trying to mate with it :roll:

awesome he looks so cute when he does it. i thought he might be a boy he's only 8 months so his ring wont be through for a while cant wait they're so pretty.

Amazon does this too, but not only with toys he does it with book cases and playstations etc, yes it is cute and very funny at times

its this kinda dance right, but this doesn't show the jumping on top of things, jordan will jump on top of a screwed up paper ball, but I don't have vid of that yet.

This vid was taken a while ago, its Jordan my lutino male dancing around kai my blue male.

Just pointing out there is a difference between the 'dance' and well.. naughty bird dance.

:oops:

I wouldn't encourage mating behaviour as they can aggressive around their 'chosen' one.. but sometimes it just.. happens. Birds gotta be a bird I suppose! :oops:
