Post by Oliver and Justin »

hello everyone,

I have a 15 week old grey green indian ringneck and his name is Oliver. He did this bluffing stage and i made it through!! he did it about 13 and 1/2 weeks. Anyway now he bites my lip and ear and stuff and i was wondering how you teach them not to bite??

I hope someone moves this over to the 'Behavior and Taming' forum so that it gets more traffic.

This is topic #1 on ringneck boards.

Using the search feature at the top of the page, I found many threads regarding this issue.

Just type 'bite' into the search box and youre set!

Hope this helps, let us know how it goes!

Here is a good one for your particular situation.

I would highly reccommend no shoulder time if you baby is biting ears and lips, shoulders are a privilage not a right and if your bird cannot be trusted keep him/her on your hand until the behaviour ceases.

Good Luck!!
