Well done for reporting, you can only hope a decorator will step and do the work soon. Why was this the second attempt? My laptop went on daytrip and refused to let me sign on so I reset it gain, keep you fingers crossed it is working. Billie has been very good today, she had a lovely shower in the bathroom was wring wet but when she got back into the LR she went straight for the water bowl and got even wetter.

I reported the recent filth, yet again nothing gets done. I've e mailed a different decorator, no reply, this is getting silly. Sanjay had his rosewater and glycerin shower today, which he enjoyed very much. Sounds like Billie is back to normal ;;)

Billie is having her mid afternoon nap when she wakes up she has a bowl of fruit compote with yogurt dressing. Perhaps the mods are busy or did not receive your post. Does Sanjay have a bowl to wash in, like a dog bowl? Billie had a short shower in the bathroom. I really don't want to give her daily showers but she flew to my shoulder so I relented and took her into the bathroom where she sat on the clothes horse. I spayed her with rose water mixture as well as the shower. She really likes to poop in my bath but missed out today as l cut her shower short. Since she came back from the vets she has been sleeping on her top perch so she does look to be back to normal, My lap top now cane recognize my face so it makes signing a lot easier. One out come of the housing officers visit is that l have decided to down size Age Concern will be pleased.

Downsize? Why? Have you got more than one bedroom?. Good news from Allianz insurance, they have written to him upstairs and told him they are holding him responsible for the damage, and telling him to contact his insurance company, I don't think he has insurance tho', so I don't know what happens then. Still no reply from those two decorators, so I've contacted another, lets hope it's third time lucky. Sanjay has been quite soppy today, clucking for tickles, he can be such a tart!,

I have a one befroom flat filled to the gizzards with junk, the above the stairs cupboard is so full l cannot get into it without taking it all out first, by downsizing l mean sizing down to what my HA consider normal for these properties. I gave Gordon a whole load og books and maps, l shall miss them but it is better to get rid of them before my friends have to clear my flat. the HA officer was most persistent that l had too much and it would cost the HA £100 or more to clear and my friensds would have to foot the bill out of my estate, despite that l have paid or had paid £100,000 in rent over the 20 years l have been here, but as the junk goes l can think of some new furniture to store the new junk l will buy :-o
Billie looked likle Chickey Lickey this morning so l let her have 5 minutes more under the cover. She keeps checking her eggs but does not sit on them, l have been adding Feather up to her seeds in case she goes for a molt. She does not want any cuddles or neck scratches. She started top ask to be covered at 3.30 pm but l made her wait until 4.30 pm l think she sleeps too much. :o

Her little body needs sleep to recover from the stress of laying, bless. My HA lady doesn't interfere like that!, bloomin' cheek!, I do clear a bit of clutter now and then, if I don't use or wear something, I get rid, also if I buy something, I get rid of something. Sanjays daddi tended to hang on to stuff, so I had quite a bit to give the charity shop after he died. It's good Billie isn't being overly affectionate, sometimes Sanjay isn't in a tickle mood, but parrots are like that by nature, in Billies case, it shows she's gone off the idea of having your babies. :-bd

My Da had this motto if he had not used it for a year he would throw it away, not me. I hate throwing things away. Gordon took a whole load of books and maps off me and now the decks are cleared for action after cleaning the mats tomorrow l shall attack the store cupboard with the same idea. Billie knew l would say no its too early so she did not ask until 3.50 bless her cotton socks but l managed to fiidle while her cage burnt and held out until 4.30 before the last cover was in place. She knew she gets a millet spray on days I go shopping or church and today was no exception she made quite sure she got one today by squarking when she thought l had forgotten but she hoodwinked me good and propper this morning, l had a shower and the bathroom was still warm and as l got her things ready she flew to my shoulder so l took her into the bath room for a shower, she was in a hurry to get on the clothes horse for good reason she pooped a big dollop into my bath and laughed with glee, who got a clip round the ear hole and Billie wanted to go back to finish her breakfast. I told her how disgusted l was at her antics but she grinned all over her face, so l let her off. And all the time l thought they were her babies, she is quite funny as soon I come into the room she leaves her advantage point on top of the cage and dives for the nesting box where she sits looking out some how l think she thinks that l think she is thinking l will take her eggs away.

Little minx! She doesn't want them but she won't part with them, dog in the manger? No, Billie in the box.
I've been sorting through drawers and cupboards, handbags etc which are tatty now, have gone in the bin, too scruffy for a charity shop, I have spices to check too, because I haven't cooked from scratch for such a long time, they are bound to be past their best. There is something cathartic in having a good clear out, your dad wasn't 100% correct, I don't use the tools or electric drill sometimes for a year, but I still need to have them on standby. \m/

Something has to go and yet l just cannot throw it away, l have a large bag of clothes heading for the charity shop tomorow, but alas there is a lot more to go l counted 22 pairs of trousers in the wardrobe besides jeans, l had hope to throw out a load of tools but l convinced myself they do not take up much room so they went back into the cupboard!
Weeks ago l hung up a pomegranite in her cage and cut a slice of it to encourage her to forage but only today has she been digging into it, l have not told her yet but there is another on in the fridge slowly hardening. I did throw away some cheshnuts lingering in the bottom of the freeze. Kleeneze did a lovely faux throw whiuch l had in small but l asked the collector to order another large one but he must have forgotton so l ordered it on line. Again Billie was asking to be covered up at 3 pm but I made her wait until 4 pm.

Good news!, one of the decorators has actually got back to me, he is coming out on Wednesday evening to have a look at the ceiling. Don't forget, charity shops don't care about condition, they sell bags of too scruffy to sell stuff to the rag men.
I unpacked my summer clobber yesterday evening, and packed my winter clobber away, it's supposed to get quite warm soon, and Beltane, on the pagan calendar, is the beginning of Summer, (Beltane falls on May 1st).
Sanjay has gone off pomegranate, I will hit the market on Wednesday and seek inspiration. At least they will have rugby ball size papaya.

When l got to Age concern they were closed and as l needed my shopping trolley for the week shop l left it all on the pavement 7 decorative wall plates. Too large pull overs and two jackets which l placed on top. I then ran off but on the way back it was open so I went and asked them if they got my clothed and the plates. They had already sold the plates and some of the clothes had had been earmarked for purchase. Billie gets a millet spray when l go to out and she had eaten all of it by the time l got back. She wanted to covered at her usual time of 3 pm but l made her wait until 4 but then shortly after l covered she wanted to come out and this happened twice she is scoffing her seeds it is a good job l gave her extra this morning. I bought some more pomegranates so she could enjoy a fresh one but think I she left the other one to get ripe. So what did Sanjay get for his tea? I always for get to pack something and it is too much to drag it all out again and quite often the weather turns back and either l freeze or boil but once the season starts it is plain sailing.

Sanjay had strawberries and raspberries on his fruit skewer today, You shouldn't leave stuff outside charity shops, homeless and not so homeless tend to root through, take the best stuff and leave the rest scattered all over the pavement. I always keep something warm or cool, back just in case.
When Sanjays daddi died, I took three sholley loads in, all beautifully clean and immaculate, because he was ex military and kept his clothes absolutely pristine. They didn't waste time pricing your stuff up, and steaming the clothes!, they must have been short on stock to get it out on sale so quickly.

Billie does not like strawberries or reaspberries she is off grapes a real fuss pot, but she really likes apple spread with fat free yogurt as soon as the bowl appear she is up and waiting for it, and tucks in straight away, l forgot to hang uo some Wickes parrot sticks but l remembered today there was not much of it left after she just sat there chipping away.

What a day!, this morning my friend Tish and I were waiting for our bus, when she was knocked off her feet by a cyclist, the little skank didn't apologise or anything! And, when we shouted at him all we got was a stream of filthy invective as he streaked off, still cycling on the pavement, seconds later, Tish nearly came a cropper with a female cyclist, again, on the pavement, she is in her seventies, and was in a state of shock and distress, I gave the police my details as a witness. The decorator came out, as promised, and you couldn't wish for a nicer young guy, he knows exactly what to do,he said it will take a few days, but first, he will provide a quote on headed paper for Allianz, then we take it from there.
My darling little Sanjay asks for a tickle every morning now, and when he's had enough he /:) gently pushes my fingers away with the front of his closed beak, I count my blessings on having such a sweet, gentle bird. I found reduced Blackberries in Tesco today, and there were Bitter Gourd and Papaya on the Asian market stall, as I say, what a day!

I tried twice to reply to this email on my Microsoft tablet, the first time I was nearly finished when Microsoft sent me an important message which wiped out my email and then l was half way through it again when l sudden saw it got split and l was typing what l had already typed no idea what happened so I pulled out.

I hope your friend Tish is feeling better, cyclist today feel they own the foot path the council have put up notices "Beware Cyclists!"They should have put up notices "Beware Pedestrians!" I was going to go to the Pets at home shop at New Oscott and hour each way on the bus they sell Vitakarft parrot food which Billie prefers, but Pets at home do not sell it on line, nor do Northern Parrots.

Emma has just put out a king size mattress and left it by the bins, but l know the bin men wont take it away so it will stay there fpr weeks it is heavily stained and an eye sore. Last year she put out a broken settee wiith out cushions and nobody came near it for weeks until some Gypos took it.

Billie had a lovely shower today and just as l sat down to play the organ she decided to do some skinny dipping in her water bowl which is on the book case by my shoulder, because she splashes l covered up the organ. But as l was sitting i could see into her nesting box and she has broken the shells of two eggs which is a very good sign but she has 7 intact but maybe those will go soon. Just in case she might start moulting l have been adding Feather Up to her seed bowl.

Good idea, it will act as a tonic after the stress of laying, as well. Sanjay had a spray shower today, and loved it, must have been the heat.
I haven't heard from the police, so the incidents are probably on CCTV, at least I hope so.
I haven't played with my tablet for a while, too busy, I planted up my window boxes yesterday evening, and I've been cutting back Hellebores and sowing seeds. Just waiting for the decorators quote, sigh. ^#(^

Thunder rolling around and heavy rain. it can be quite frustrating waiting for builders, they are so busy they do not need to phone to tell you they have been delayed. Just be patient. Try and find something you have been putting off for ages.
Forcasters are saying this year is going to be the hottest since 1976, l lived at home then and we had a wood not more than a mile away and fire crews were constantly coming out to dampen down and deal with small fires, to sit in the garden and suddenly hear the crackle of flames is quite frightening, those poor people in Cannada. Our car park is a lake I would not be surprised to see the cars float out we are fortunately quite high here. Billie wanted to be covered up at usual time but l wanted to watch TV and she kept moaning so I uncovered her and she sat on top of the cage and we rubbed noses together. She wants me to play fetch with her babble ball but l told her she is too rough "How would you like it if l bit you?" I have not been near my tablets or phone for a couple of days there is too much International Cycling on.

Only two weeks ago it was snowing. Still very warm bought a cotton filled duvet just in time, 80f in here, l shall have to dig out the air conditioner with its air compressor that gets the temp down to 17 (64f?) but is very noisy, and takes up a lot of room with its exhaust hose. Billie hung on until 4 pm and then demanded to be covered but sat in her cage tut- tuttering so l let her out again but relanted and at 5 covered her up for the night. Our poor old web site has been attacked again had to delete all the notifications. Pity l cannot delete the neighbour from hell down stairs she has been out all day, and is still very quiet.

The bad news is the CCTV didn't pick up on the cyclist incident, the good news is, he apparently came back later, started showing off with wheelies, and his bike chain broke and fell off!.
It's been glorious here, fortunately my flat is relatively cool with it's high ceilings. The lady in wilko served me, tells me she has just purchased an African Grey, saved up for years, I do hope she understands the huge commitment!. The HA told me they couldn't afford a garden bench for our communal garden, but gave me permission to have one, I went on Amazon and found one for less than thirty quid, I've also ordered an engraved plaque, so it will be a memorial bench for daddi.
Sanjay got So excited when I got home today, his head feathers really stood up!, he looked as though he'd been playing cowboys n' Injuns! :-!

Our poor website l had 65 notifications of porn, how much longer can it continue like this? Gordon came today and the last time Billie flew to his shoulder she bit him so he was a bit aprrehensive when she flew to his shoulder more so when she would not get off. I had to use a stick to prise her off. If somebody put a bench in our gardens it would be gone in two seconds, l hope you can trust your neighbours because it is a nce gesture on you. Our HA paid for two flowering cherry trees to be planted in memory of dead tenants but when l asked for another for my friend when he died they pleaded poverty. He was not in their good books having torched his flat to force them to move him instead they evicted him. Several Christmas-s ago l hung a Christmas wreath on the door five minutes later it was gone. Billie started her usual antic about being covered up at 3 am and when l refused she sulked. She turned her back to me while she preened
It has rained here all day. The draw back with high ceilings is the winter as all the heat is out of reach. You could train Sanjay to flap his wings from the chandelier to circulate the warm air. :))

Heat rises, and my flat is lovely and toasty, the bench arrived today, but with rain all day, and the grass needing a good cut, I've had to leave assembling it for now. Now the numpties no longer live here it will be fine, and if I site it so it cannot be seen from the pavement, it will be incognito. The engraved brass plaque has been dispatched, so that should arrive really soon, and the same goes for the winter cover, I had a brief look, and it will need a coat of varnish, I've got an unopened tin, a small one, I got last year when I distressed the bedroom furniture, but didn't need.
More rain tomorrow, but the garden needs plenty after the heat. Sanjay is going through millet at the speed of knots, I've ordered another sack full!. Imagine how big we would be if we ate "like a little bird" :-!

Billie only gets two Milllet sprays a week, l have plenty in hand but must go to the pet shop friday as we are running out of seed, l will look for a new toy. But she is quite happy with her babble ball this morning l heard it at 4 am I hope the nieghbours did not hear it! Bucketing down this afternoon and evening but it was clear long enough for a walk this morning. You might find the wood of the bench to be very hard, and if try drilling two small holes less than the diametre of your screws that will stop the wood from splitting. When you assemble the bench use a mallet to knock it together and if no mallet use a spare piece of wood between the hammer and the bench to save unsightly hammer marks.
Emma was feeling the heat a couple of days ago she had all her windows wide open, mine were closed and several fans were running. %%-

The gardeners came and cut the grass this morning, so they assembled the bench, which was very straightforward, holes already drilled and screws / bolts supplied, the wood has been treated, as it started to spit just as they finished and the raindrops rolled. I gave them a gratuity, enough for a meal deal each, as they were so lovely and willing to help. The plaque is still on it's way. Sanjays millet arrived, I'm sure there was more this time, it's from a company on Amazon called Maltbys, they send it in white hessian style sacks, rather like wilko's send their compost etc in. we've had a couple of heavy downpours, but at least it was mild, I had to put my heating on last night. The evening sky looks fairly pink, so lets hope tomorrow will be set fair, himself? He was fascinated when I unpacked his bundles of millet!, he then broke into a sing song, so I assume he was pleased. :-bd

Billie does not do much singing but she gave me a treat this morning she was cheeping at her eggs and then listening and then cheeping again, the poor dear no one has told her they are infertile. She had bashed two more eggs and now only has four left. That was good of your gardeners, our has given his notice so we shall have to wait until knee deep in daisies before a new contreact is given. Another tenant has bit the dust, a nurse who said the rent was too high she lives in the nurses home two weeks out of four presumably while on duty. So now we have two flats vacant. Emma and boyfriend have been decorating, the first time in two years since they smoke like chimneys it must have needed painting.
Billie was very good tonight she lasted until 4.30 before asking to be covered for the night. :D

The brass plaque arrived today, but only 3 screws instead of four, sigh, so daddis toolbox came in handy, but I couldn't find a brass coloured screw, had to use a plain metal one, the plaque is very nice tho', I gave it a lick of beeswax polish to waterproof it. This afternoon I planted my hanging baskets up with double petunias, it was so hot, my clothes were damp with perspiration!.
I think Billie has been trying to liberate her babies, she will probably break the rest now. Sanjay is starting to moult, little white down feathers, so I had better dig out the feather up. x_x

You were right she bashed holes in her remaining eggs so I took them out and then the box she wanted to fly to my shoulder but l managed to duck in time however once the box was gone she just shrugged her shoulders and got on with life. She has shown no interest in a card box in her cage so l have taken it out. After she went to bed l went up to New Oscott to buy some pet seeds and restocked on bits and millet. She was asleep when l put the bags quietly into the LR.
It was jolly cold up at New Oscott so l bought some Tesco cookies they were very moorish l at 4, bang goes my diet! You had better watch out the plain screw you put in will rust and stain the bench when it rains try and get a brass screw, carry a screw driver with you and if you see on in situ try and liberate it or go to a hardware shop and buy one. It is overcast here and chilly too, when l went out madam had her radio up loud but when l got back she had turned it off its no fun for her when she cannot wind me up! :o)

Thanks for the advice, not sure if I can get such a tiny one, but If I coat the plaque with beeswax often, hopefully the little screw won't rust.
Well, I came into the sitting room this afternoon with Sanjays treats and he flew over and landed on my shoulder! Not for long, but it's a start. The wind was chilly today, and very cloudy, I'm glad I didn't have anything to do outside, it's very fickle at the moment. I'm pleased Billie has stopped all that nonsense, back to normal now hopefully. :-c

She bit me this morning, so l locked her in. I think she has just realized l took out the nesting box. Last nigt my bed gave way so had to do an emergency repair l bought a new one last year waiting to assemble it, so l decided to move my bedroom furniture around l have a large desk that takes up too much room so after l let Bilie out l dashed down to Argos, but changed my mind about the size of desk l would buy and bought a big one it weighs a ton so it was a good job l took my trolley, back home l ripped out the old desk and decided to have a move around. I smashed up the old bed and carted all the bits out, the large pieces l hid round the back, the smaller bits went into the bin. I moved all the furniture and thought l would assemble the bed last, but oh dear the new desk would not fit in and worse it was too heavy to move over the carpet, so l had to move the furniture back and the new desk fit ins where the old desk was, when l moved the desk l had to move the old Vista Computer, the wires were in such a tangle l pulled them all out and was jolly lucky to get them back in the right holes. I made up the new bed and the rotters had not drilled a hole in all the cross members, so out came the drill. Eventually the bed was up, mattress rescued from the LR much to the annoyance of the resident, so here l am exhausted and on top Parrots has arrived not even had a chance to look at it yet. And top of all my toil l broke a lovely bedisde lamp, and pulled a muscle in my back.

Oh dear! Poor you, next time you want furniture to slide easily, put a sheet of polythene or plastic down. A cheap dust sheet should be ok. As for your back, I recommend Co codamol, most chemists do their own brand, Ibrufen has it's uses, but isn't really strong enough.
Can you get Argos to collect that desk and deliver a smaller one?.
It's been a busy day here, visitors tomorrow, and you know how Sanjay feels about little folk!, my daughter is bringing her Dorgi (Dachs x Corgi), I just hope it ignores my bird!. The neighbour who brings them is a sixty something old guy, with tattoos and piercings, tbh he makes my skin crawl!, but I know how to behave.
I try to hide my revulsion :ymsigh:

The desk came as a flat pack and it was only after it was assembled that l discovered it would not roll over the carpet pattern but that is a good idea of yours but it is where it is and will stay there until l decide to have a move around in perhaps ten years time. I once bought a high bed with desk under but when it was assembled I only had about six inches between the mattress and the ceiling, Argos agreed to take it back, the other take back was a wardrobe l bought from John Lewis the iinstructions said "Make sure you fully insert the dowel." It would only go in half way so l whacked it with a hammer and it split the wood! :( I wish the Mods would do something about this interloper who keeps flooding our web site with his adverts, I just delete them. Billie has a bright yellow toy it was the left over from a nut and bolt she keeps throwing it out of her cage and then demands l pick it up and put it back in her cage! She then carries it up to the door and throws it out again just like a baby in a pram. I do not like taking pain killers, I prefer rest.

Gordon came the other day and whenhe came last year she flew to his shoulder and bit him on the neck, so whgen she flew to his shoulder again he was very nervous, and she would not come onto my hand l had to use the big stick to prise her off him! Tattoos have never appealed to me. I would not have thought a corgi could get that low to mate with a dach or was it the other way round and the dach used a step ladder? Parrot shas some good articles one about nesting boxes, others about African Greys, l left the mag in the other room and the resident hates having her sleep disturbed.

There are three sizes of Dachs, the queen also has , , Dorgi's, the result of a happy mismating with one of Princess Margarets "standard" dachshunds.
Anyway, he woofed at Sanjay, but he just sat on his perch and gave the lazy eye.Anyway, the dog was more fascinated with the full length mirror in my bedroom, he kept popping in to check his appearance.
Ah yes, the cabin bed, I remember them, they were very ubiquitous in the eighties, don't see them quite so much now. I'm not a lover of painkillers, But when I'm in agony, I'm not fussy!.
Ah well, the day was wearing, but we both survived. O:-)

Good news, there's a Victorian Ironmongers in the High Street, and it's like Alladins cave, I found brass screws for £1.49 a pack, not sure of the size I needed I bought one of each, and the plaque now has four brass screws, I also gave the plaque and bench a good rubbing with beeswax polish, coating the bolts too. It's been glorious today, I have soaked my wee garden, and topped up my half barrel "pond", I brought King Cups from the Royal Gardens at Windsor two years ago, no, not nicked!, there's a garden centre come gift shop etc there. Jack and Isabel were vaccinated against measles, yet they both have a mild form of it, I'm ok, immune since childhood, when I had it. Sanjay has done well today, with coconut cubes and other favourites, he loves sharing whatever I've got, although I draw the line with some things, Billie makes me smile with her antics, she is such a lovable little character, :-!

Yes l will second that, she is adorable, your idea about hanging up a whole pomegranite works well for her l hung one but she ignored it so l sliced a piece off and now she tucks in, when l hang the corn up l think she prefers it to be riper, she qute likes the pear l hung up, but again she likes it to be very ripe. I have stopped filling up her bucket with sunflower seed so she is chomping on the Wilko seed sticks, we still have 8. She enjoys the apple covered with fat free yogurt and prefers white grapes. She had begun to moult some small feathers on the bottom of her cage, l have been giving Feather up now for a week. Billie does not like coconut nor peppers she hated peanuts but with the new seed mix l bought there are peanuts in shell and she had been eating those. I put orange segments along the top of her cage she she squezzes them and drink then she throws on the floor where l tread on them YUK. Hope Sanjay dies not catch the meazles.

Goodness! Perish the thought! ^#(^
Sanjay has Always had peanuts in the shell, it took him a while to suss there are one nut at each end, he would scoff one and discard the rest, but now he is quite adroit at flicking the shell, so he gets both. He also likes his sweetcorn pone nice and ripe, he is off pomegranate at the moment tho'.Jack and Isabel were very amused and surprised the first time they saw a bird eat daintily with his "hand", wait until he gets around to talking in front of them!, it should be priceless! :-bd

Billie and I spent quality time togather this evening she wanted to be covered too early so l told her no and then she did three circuits of the living room before landing on the cage l thought she was asking for a shower and l offered her my shoulder and took her into the bath room but she refused to get on the clothes horse so we came back into the LR and l sat down still with her on my shoulder, we did not rubbing and l whistled softly to her l have discovered that she tilts her back when l try and scratch her neck so l found that advancing my finger she would allow me to stroke her chest and then move round for a neck scratch, she purrs like a cat. I put her back on the top of her cage l helf my nose close to her beak and whistled softly she loved the attention! About 5.30 she decided enough was enough and went in, I closed the curtains and went for my dinner. Yesterday l put my desk chair with its arms and a flat gas cylinder into the laundry room and sat on a dinining room chair that was torture so l rescued my office chair before anyone else could claim it and banished the dining room chair to the top of the stairs! Billie loves throwing her small yellow toy out and waits for to toss iot back but l broke the rules by placing it opn topp of her cage she sat ;ooking at it and then climbed up making tut tuttering noise and when she was at the top she carefully dropped it inside her cage bedore climbing down and then lifting it up and droppimng it outside her cage she gave me a look that said "You dare put it back up there"

Sanjay hasn't played with his toys for ages, he sits patiently on top of his door instead. Ah yes, putting neck back for tickles and kisses, the only time I am allowed contact, when "Sanjay" is in touch with "his" feminine side

How does Sanjay react when reach to stoke him under the beak, Billie loves this more than a neck scratch when l reach to scratch her neck she tilts her head back and is very wary of neck scratches but chuck her under the chin and she loves that. As soon as l notice she has chucked one of her toys out l throw it back if she thinks l have not noticed she sqwarks until I do! Billie bangs her babble ball about she has the advantage of a flat bottom. (To her cage!) She also throws her little yellow toy up in the air and tries to catch it. And carefully caries it up to throw out. She sat on top of the cage this evening and we had a nose rub, and a tickle under the chin. She had a nice shower this morning followed by some skinny deep in her water bowl. Billie prefers to sit on her door than to sit on top of the cage.

Sanjays babble ball is attached to his roof bars, instead of hanging up, it doesn't babble if it dangles. When he plays with it, it's footie, and he also gives it a good bashing and squawking to. He hasn't played with his cat jingle balls for ages, but generally does the same as Billie. It's been a wet miserable day here, the window cleaning contractor turned up, and washed the windows down, in the pouring rain, Sanjay looked non plussed, and I thought the world has gone mad! :-@

Billie had a bad day, first l was getting her bowls ready when a large truck reversed into our culdesac with a loud sqwarkiing Billie thought it was a bird in distres and she was very frightened, l calmed her down and proceeded to do the tray l have to lift up the babble ball to get it over the edge of the tray mostly she allows this watching very closely but today she bit me. So l shut her cage down and sat with my back to her. After a little while she said she was sorry but l made her wait while nursed my hand when l was ready l discovered she was sulking however l managed to remove her babble ball wearing my gardening gloves she put up a stff resistance but could not stop me. THen I did the tray, afterwards l; relented and threw the spare babble ball onto the floor she was pleased to have it back but it was the one that l dropped into her water bowl some time ago and it does not work very well, so not wishng to get bitten again l trundled it along the carpet with my foot and managed to ease it out of the door, when she was not looking l esacaped and got her babble ball that she had in the cage and threw that into the floor she dived for it and was ever so pleased it made noises at her. Of course she wanted it back in the cage but l decided it would stay on the floor. She has flown down to it several times today . the exercise will do her good. Bed time l covered her up but l wanted to watch the TV but she was complaining she could hear the TV so l uncovered her again while l finshed watching my programe but when l was ready she decied to play awkward and would not go in. Finally she relented and went in so l covered her up. :-$

Oh goodness! It's like having an unruly toddler!. Jack and Isabel Do Not have measles, I didn't think they did, because they were vaccinated, they have "a virus", which could be anything from the dreaded lurgy to bubonic plague, doctors are very tight lipped these days. Sanjay had a lovely drenching today with his spray bottle, he absolutely loves it. I must remember my parrot mag on Monday, the weeks fly by. i-)

Billie is very inteligent, she threw out her yellow toy and when l went to pick it up she flew down and very pointedly tapped the babble ball, l threw back her yellow toy and when she flew back to see it l picked up her babble ball and tossed that back into the cage. "The next time you bite me will be the last time you see that." l told her. But l have resolved to move it wearing gardeneing gloves! She was ever so pleased to have it back and started to feed it or at least it looks like she is trying to feed it. Only small feathers are being dsicarded at the moment. My friends who live about a mile away tell me they have indian ringnecks in their garden. They came to collect some old electical goods imncluding a Commodore computer circa 1986, l have it advertised on gumtree but no takersso its in the recycling yard.
But when they were here Bilie was out and sitting on the back of my arm chair Shirley held her hand out for Billie to climb on it but l could see Billie was needdling her eyes so got Shirely away quickly. #:-s She had a good showwer today and when we got back she decided she did not want to go in her water bowl.

At least they will know what foods to put out for the feral ringnecks, none have been sighted here as yet. Sanjays moult, if you can call it that, is a few down feathers, which attach themselves to the bars, and are not easy to remove. Some charity shops take electrical goods, as do reuse centres. i-)

Although my local branch of Age Concern do not sell electricals they passed on the new floppy disk player l gave them.
There is nice article in Parrots about feathers, Billie's mouilt is a slow affair she dropped a wing feather but mostly it is fluffy down. I am not looking forward to June/July/August they are forcasting a very hot summer with record highs. Billie lasted out to 4.30 today l get her up at about 7 am so she gets about 14 hours sleep a night if the neighbours are quiet!! Some hope. I must drag the air conditioner out for behind the sofa and make sure it works, it can only bring the temp down to 18 c but at lest that is better than sweltering. Billie had found that the pear l hung up is delicious and eats her way through it she tried to undo the knurled nob at the end of the spike but even l have a hard time undoing it.

Personally I think hung up food is more natural, they don't eat prepared food out of bowls in the wild, nor pelleted food. A certain little body flew on to my shoulder and flew off again today, we are getting bold!. I must but a new fan this year, it's getting it home, though I daresay I can order from Argos online, and get same day delivery. :-bd

A Dyson cool is worth the money, fans just move hot air around although you could buy a ceiling fan from Argos for as little as £20 but it will cost you £40 to have it installed they are very good at reducing the temp by a few degrees. I put my one up in the LR it was a beast the wires were too short so l had buy an apdapter and cut some wire to the length l wanted. but it was to no avail because the gas fitter in the annual check made me take it out or loose the gas fire. So l had to pay £40 to have it moved into the bedroom. Which did me a favour because l now sleep in tthe bedroom but for how much longer? Emma has moved her TV into the bedroom and she leaves it on until she goes to sleep! You could try Amazon? Sanjay is getting bolder but when he has overcome his fear he could be come a pest, Michael the estate drunk came and wanted me to convert laundry tokens into cash so l had to go back into the LR and Billie flew to my shoulder and she would not get off until l levered her off with a stick, she has been busy today throwing out her yellow toy, she really enjoys when l throw it back in. She had a shower in the bathroom befroe l went to church and then did some skinny dipping in her water bowl.. And tonight she lasted until 5 pm before wanting to be covered. Buy Parrots tomorrow!

Thanks for the reminder, it should definitely be in. Sanjay did the shoulder landing again today, but it is very brief, he is more interested in his fresh rations. A ceiling fan would be dangerous, I could forget to turn it off, besides, Sanjay much prefers the chandelier to perch on. The cylinder fans are brilliant, I don't have hundreds to spend on a Dyson. The residents association had their annual plant sale, ready planted hanging baskets and trays of perennials, I order my own plug plants from Unwins, they are still tiny, but will outlast the ready flowering ones they were selling, besides, I like something different to the usual fare. A lovely red sky this evening, so hopefully shopping tomorrow will be a joy. (*)

Sorry about the delay, l usually get a notification of your reply but there was none, our site is being swamped by rubber necks l wish the mods could do something about it, I had 60 notications to delete. Billie got off the wrong side of the perch again she would not let get the babble ball out so l could clean the tray, I said the magic words "No biting!" several times but she thought it was a game and bit me. So I shut up the cage and covered it as well, after a few minutes she was calling, l made her wait 10 minutes and then uncovered her, l used my garden gloves to lift out the babble ball and she tried to stop me but l threw the ball onto the floor and told her she was not going to have it back in the cage. We have been playing fetch today she throws out her yellow toy and says "Fetch!" And I throw it back in! She would not let me go for a walk and tried stopping me by constantly flying to my shoulder, l duck and she goes back to the cage but she has got an answer now she lands on my back and walks upto my shoulder. She had a lovely shower today in the bathroom l bring the spray gun up close and personal and spray her tummy and between her legs she just sits there and grins and bares it. She treid her gambit of calling to be covered up at 3 pm but l made her wait until 5 pm and when l started to cover her she was sitting on her sleeping perch all ready. If tower fans work for you good, my mate had one with a remote so her could adjust it from the arm chair. Madam down stair had visitors she had the windows wide open and they were sheirking and yelling so l openned my windows and played my organ loudly and they stopped shreiking and closed their windows, That my be the answer it work dghtis time.

Allianz phoned this morning, the cheque is on it's way, so I've e mailed the decorator. Nothing remarkable in Parrot magazine, I liked the story about the African Grey who hailed a cab.
Sanjay didn't shoulder land today, I'm pleased it isn't becoming a habit.
Goodness knows why some people have to be so loud, fortunately I never get this problem now the numpties have all gone. :x
