Head-Dunking?

Post by xxsalxx786 »

I recently got my bird a bigger cage and it has couple water bowls in it. My IRN dunks his head in at least 3 times in the morning. Is it because its hot or i dont know :?:

Most likely Birdie is trying to get a bath. Can you provide a larger bowl of water, maybe on the floor of the cage? It doesn't have to be very deep.

Hi there, when he dunks his head does his spread his wings apart. If he does he probably is trying to bathe. Just give him a larger bowl as Missk suggested. Also how hot is it where you live?

I provide bathing dishes for my birds...they still dunk their heads in the water dish. :D
I am owned by my birds...and I wouldn't have it any other way :D

Billie puts everything she can in her swimming pool but l have not seen her dunking her head. She does stand in the water and gets really wet underneath, l give her a gentle spray so her wings get wet as well.
