Help! Newbie

I just got my IRN from a breeder 2 weeks ago, my IRN is 7 mos. and he is not tamed but I really wanna tame and train him, I've done a research and watched videos on how to train him. Now he's kinda used to me like whenever I go near his cage he will go to me and won't freak out like he used to. But whenever I replace his water or food he freaks out even if I do it gently. What am I supposed to do? And also even if he's used to me like he goes close to me whenever I'm about to go near his cage if he sees my hand he'll try to bite me.
