My two Indian Ringnecks keep fighting

Post by Snowstripe »

Yesterday I bought a lacewing male about 10 months old, I already have a female indian ringneck about 1 year old, and when I put him in the cage with her my female would keep following him around, and pecking him. The male is really timid and always runs away from her, but my female keeps following after him. She doesn't really hurt him that bad, but she also always tries to bite his tail when hes running away, I keep trying to stop her from pecking him but she keeps doing it, I don't know what to do :(

The thing to do is put the male in his own cage, right now.

Traditionally new birds should be quarantined for 30 days from your other birds. But since they e already come in contact, you should still separate them but you can keep them in the same room. Let them acclimate to each other.
I am owned by my birds...and I wouldn't have it any other way :D
