space heaters???

Are ceramic space heaters safe for my birds?? I just bought a new one. I have used a ceramic heater before with no ill effects but am wondering if anyone has any they recommend that are safe for birds??

That's kind of a good question, but not one I have an answer for, just a warning from when i had a Cockatiel over 15yrs ago, had a gas heater and mine decided to fly over to it when it had been on for multiple hours,
It's sad to think back a laugh but it was so funny, you saw him land on the heater, do the two step and fly off and then, swear he was blowing on his little feet before I could get to him.

Thank you for the response! I've read that some space heaters are made with Teflon which when heated is deadly to birds so I have been trying to figure that out. But I found a ceramic one and called the manufacturer to make sure it was not made with Teflon, and it isn't.. So I can keep my babies warm this winter safely :-)
