Screeching whilst in her cage.

Post by memento »

Hi we have 2 irn the female is a loud screech er and sometimes it can go on for a good 30 seconds until the male shouts at her and she stops for a min or so then she will start again. We encourage any nice sounds but am afraid to say have started to shout `no' at her on her long screeches.
She not only does it when in her cage but also sitting on the window handle looking out. when in her cage she appears to be looking for a reaction from us but out it is only looking out the window.
Ive had a quick look through forum pages but apart from ignoring any bad and rewarding good behaviour i cant find any answers so please re post any ideas you may have thanks.

It is... more difficult with a pair of birds. They are simply doing what is natural to them and might never stop. To them it's like breathing.

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
