Quick question about molting

Post by jeezusbeams »

my ringneck is 9 months old and he is starting really pick at his feathers. He is not pulling out big or main feathers but a bunch of small tiny down feathers are coming out when he preens himself is this the begining of molting?

Just watch him and see, also look carefully and see if you can see little pin feathers like babies have, as mine has those all over underneath his adult feathers when he is moulting...
