my IRN keeps having SEX with his/her perch!!!!!

It gets quite embarrassing!! The perch is a bendy-bar fabric thing but one end doesn't have the bar-end. Instead it is fluffy.
The bird is nearly 1 year old, not sure whether male or female
Tail tucks right under the perch with wing/shoulders out and vigorous rubbing and little noises.
Three times in the last couple of hours!!
Help!?!?!

Its a juvenile bird. Its the hormones. Dogs do it too and so do people. Relax though because dolphins and humans are the only mammals who have sex for pleasure. Your bird is just doing it because his hormones are telling him to carry out a biologically programmed act and not because he/she is deriving pleasure from it

I would definately say male bird. your lucky its his perch and not you he is doing it to.

the poor kids just freak out!
