strange behaviour :S

Post by _Lady_Flame_ »

Hello everyone, i have a question. My IRN Alex loves to be on our clothes-drying rack because its high. We covered it with a blanket and a shirt he always used to like. When we let him out in the evening he mostly played around but for about a month, he hides between the blanket and shirt so he is covered by the shirt, and sleeps there. I wonder why? He sleeps there sometimes even for 2 hours without comming out. When we go to sleep we have to take him out and put him into his cage. Has anyone similar experiences? I hope nothing is wrong :S He never did this before and now for about a month he sleeps there every evening...

On 6.may he was 2 years old...

Please share your opinion and experiences with me

I think he may just be comfy there. Are you 100% sure he is a he and not a she?

There is things for birds that I think are called happy huts?

keep an eye on the bedding you put in to make sure it doesnt have anything that could turn into a hazard to the bird. They can easily get caught up in loose threads ect and cause a lot of damage to themselves or possibly hang themselves.

julie i was thinking on adding a similar box like the breeding box just larger, on the other side of the cage where another door is. and put the blanket so he would be comfortable as he is now :) once i had a toy with some circles (it was for birds, otherwise i wouldnt buy it) but he got his head into one and almost strugled himself..i put it away immediately i saw that. from then on i never put any things inside that could be dangerous to him. i would never forgive myself if he would die because of my mistake :S
