My baby boy has learnt a new word....'WATER'.

Every morning when I change his water, I tell him what it is and he can connect the two, word 'water' with the liquid. Very smart boy. :)

Wow! Love the flight pictures! It's so nice to see them in flight! One time Brutus flew around the park--i thought his wings were clipped well--lesson learned for me! He really can pick up wind compared to my ringies...but i must say it was so wonderful to see him fly that high..so majestic! As always Tasha WONDERFUL photos!

Best wishes  ,

OMG Ringneck, bet your heart was in your mouth when Brutus decided to go for a joy flight!!
I think I would have had a heart attack if that had happened. I would love to let Raf outside but I am just not game to. I had thought of harness training him but there are a few predatory birds around here that give my aviary birds a hard time, so not willing to risk it.

Thanks Sarahb :D
They are very expensive, that was one of the things that I pondered over and over and over. The decision to bring Rafiki into our home was not made lightly. But, I do NOT regret spending that money on him one little bit. He really is worth every $, right down to the last cent.

A few people asked why I would bother spending so much money on a bird. My argument is I am a non smoker, and maybe drink a couple of times a year at celebrations. The money I would possibly spend on cigarettes over the course of smoking years, far outweighs the money I spend on "just a bird". Besides, Raf gives me more pleasure than any cigarette could. :D
