I am so excited! I adopted an 8 year old African Grey and she/he came home yesterday. I keep her in a separate room from Jack but they hear each other talking. I feel so lucky!! She is a great bird and very well ajusted and had really good former bird owners. Jack has been great and is showing no signs of having his beak out of joint LOL

Gorgeous- and prepare for the challenge, lol! Their minds keep us working. Busy beaks are happy beaks.

And it's wonderful that you've adopted a parrot, so many need homes. ^_^

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay

Greys are so cool. I wish they were a bit more affectionate in general but they're so smart. I was once scratching a grey on the neck and I guess he didn't like the way I was doing it so he told me to "stop it" and then adjusted his head to indicate where I should be scratching. I've only ever heard alexandrines use English in context as well as greys.

I love the soft, tiny feathers on their heads too. Great looking bird, there.
