Life is cruel

Just when I have a new baby coming, this is posted on CL in my neighborhood.

I did send an email and offer to help in placement if they get in a jam. Sigh

I must say though, I find it funny / common with birds in the US that they post an "adoption fee"... im sorry but its selling your bird and trying to sound like you arent :P

Hope it finds a good home.

:( Poor lil girl. I think they just might as well say they are 'selling' the bird. I can understand adoption fees for rescue organizations but for private people 'selling' their pets, to me, its like selling a child. Yet good luck finding someone who wont take money down here. Hope the lil bub finds a home soon.

they are not allowed to sell birds on CL, so they call it an adoption fee and pretend like it means something else. If it gets too high, someone will flag them for selling and the ad gets pulled. Don't try to figure it out
