You know your obsessed when..

Post by Lauren »

I got this off another forum.. but I think its cute!

One bird is never enough
Your birds eat better than you do
Every time someone says, “Hello”, you think of your parrot.
You know what a ‘fid’ is
You are forbidden to talk about your birds anymore in front of your non-bird loving friends
You have signed up at a few companion parrot forums
You created your own companion parrot forum
You created your own parrot website to go with your parrot forum
Everything reminds you of your birds
You don’t freak out when someone points out bird poo on your clothes
You frequently dream about your birds
You collect statues of birds.
When you talk to people it’s always ends up about birds.
They own their own room
When you go to the fruit/vegie market purely to buy for your birds

Some of my own..
When you find the smell of a birds 'wingpits' cute and you just want to stick your nose under there!
When your ringtone on your phone is of your pet parrot talking.
When you try to catch floating 'downies' whenever you see one.
When you've figured out what each squark or scream means
When you've eaten a pellet just to see what it tastes like
(Women) When you refer to your PMS as 'Bluffing'

 omg .. I'm sick .. really sick :?

...

This one - "When you try to catch floating 'downies' whenever you see one." Should have added to it .. "And you give it back to them to play with"
--

Mine are:-

When your computer harddrive needs updating to hold all the pictures and video of your birds.

When you logon and the first site you go to is IRN.com (with one bird on your shoulder and fighting with another for the keyboard)

When You seriously start thinking about hiring a birdsitter for the afternoon while you go shopping for the bird food.

When there are presents under the xmas tree with birds names on them.

You begin to add commentary and subtitles to the actions of birds, including those in the wild.

Lisa pointed that out to me today when I was filling in the thoughts/words of a raven picking at a mcdonalds box some child had left behind. It went something like this "Woohoo, look what I found, get away you other birds, it's mine! all mine!"

. . . when you end an otherwise promising relationship because your birds have more friends on the web than they do (and get more Xmas cards)!

Not that it ever really happened of course......

Your all too funny!

Angie.. the other day when going through the drive in at maccas I was commentating on the seagulls. You know the one thats always chasing away the others? 'I am alpha bird! my mc donalds! All MINE!' .. after successfully chasing the others away, it proceeded to try and 'mingle' with some others, but they all shunned it and flew away. :( I felt sorry for it. Reminded me of Yoda. Scaring Jibs away and then feeling lonely and wanting to just play, but Jibby is too scared to play games. My partner thinks I'm crazy. hehe.

Haha, I love that movie! Sometimes I think Jibby is a seagull, the way he goes crazy and begs everytime I go into the kitchen, he thinks I'm getting food for him.

This is a close-up of it when it was healing. I looked for the 'perfect sun' for yrs and never found it so one day I was like DUH! And I drew what I had in mind, took it in and had it done.

This is the placement. (Lower back, middle)

Yes, I still make sandcastles! 'Aint' no shame in my game! I have that Moon Sand that I play with by the pool.

There is also a feather on my ankle I got at around a yr old, remember Im native american? We mark our children in earlier days with ink. Its not common these days but remember, I was raised by my Granny who was very old school. I dont love it or hate it... its always been there so I dont have any feelings toward it. Just part of me.

Oh my gosh, you girls top them all. LOL.

I've been trying to find a good pic of my fids so I can get a small one on my lower back. I want them in cherry blossoms because I absolutely love cherry blossoms! I'll have to think about it more as its there for life! Looks like it hurts though, so I'll just pierce my face for now because that doesn't hurt and I can always take them out even though I still a mark on my labret. LOL.

Mik, nothing wrong with making sandcastles! Thats awesome fun! :D
