I didn't see any picture. The males have the rings and females don't.

Hi there

I think what he meant was that albino males normally don't get rings.

Regards

The breeder told me my albino male ringneck will get a ring. I hope she was right. I have a female, but I wanted a male, mostly for the ring.

If your white bird is a true albino, then the male will NOT get a black ring.
Both sexes in albino look the same, you will need either a DNA or surgically sex your bird to find out the sex.

Here is a pic of a male albino found off the net....

also here is a link to a thread explaining a bit about inos....

If the parents are albino hen and grey male with no splits, (hidden colours), then you would not get an albino chick from that pairing. The colours would be either blue and/or grey hens and blue/ino and/or grey/ino boys.
If you did get an albino chick from the above paring, then the grey is split ino with a 50/50 chance the chick is either sex.

A true albino is a completely white bird, red eyes and light coloured feet.

From what I have read, there are creamino birds that are so pale they are white looking. The male creaminos can have a light to dark pink ring.

In that link I posted in my previous comment, Fah said this "There do exist "white" indian ringnecks, but arent albino birds. I have bred them in the past. Its technically Grey PallidIno. A first generation grey pallidino is visually identical to a grey pallid. If however you put this bird to an albino, its young will more often than not, take on a lighter shade of grey... so on and so forth until you actually have a white bird. The males even though looking like an albino, DO get the black ring. It is a stunning bird to behold in my opinion. And I hope to get back to breeding them soon."

But if not albino, just white, would it still have pink eyes, or is pink eyes only on true albino? I'm questioning so much because I just got a six-week male albino (??) irn; the female was white and the male was grey. I don't know anything about grandparents. I did not get to see the parents, I'm going on what the breeder told me. I just assumed that he is albino since he is white and has pink eyes. Now, I do see a very faint bluish tint to some of his feathers. I'm so confused. I wanted a male so that he would have a ring. I will try and get a picture so maybe that will be more help. The genetics stuff confuses me.

I appreciate everyone's input.
