A Single Moment of Fetch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt_syi5zxzw

Hi Donovan...that's great! I also bought one of those tower treat things. I have never used it because the only parrot person I know said it would be way too difficult for my IRN to turn. Good thing I have not realied too much on her advice. So any suggestions on how to start? Bottom level & then work up?? He is used to new toys so I do not think fear will be an issue. If it is I am comfortable working on that.

well i showed him how it worked several times.. and he sorta got it.. he had to do some figuring on his own... but honestly i had to cut tiny little holes in the bottom so i could run a piece of wire through it.. i left it in a corner of his cage for him to work on but had the base tied down... it came with a chain but while hanging all it does is twist around so i had to secure the bottom.. once i did that he was able to learn it just fine.

He still gets excited when he sees me drop something into it

Thanks for the advice regarding the tie down. No use making him work too hard. I'll give it a try and see what his first reaction is and then let you know.

As far as starting i'd say start at the bottom where all it takes is a little jostle to make the treat fall down. The opening is small so sometimes they need help getting the treat once it has fallen.

Those were all pretty cute. I like where it looked like he threw the ball back at you.

Step One accomplished - Skye and his buddy, Sunny, do not see the "Ring of Treats" - as mine is called - as a scary monster. Both will stick there beaks into the bottom to get a treat. I put it in the cage with treats in the lower portion but turned askew. They are ignoring it so I guess I need to spend more time showing the treat and turning it etc.
