Remy doing some tricks

Post by jmlw7 »

Hi all - we finally trained Remy to flip upside down! So the following video shows her turning around, flipping upside down and a small tidbit of flight recall. :)

Very clever!
I love the beak coming at the camera in the end of the video. I've got so many photos of Nila that look like that.

She's so sweet :D and quick to respond. Good job Josie and Remy. :D
I am owned by my birds...and I wouldn't have it any other way :D

Remy has gotten to the point where every time we take that perch out and we walk by, she gets on it, flips and turns around and whistles without anyone commanding her to and expects treats. When we dont give them to her, she follows us around, lands on the perch and does it all over again. Talk about eager!

That's so cute!
If we forget to train with Nila for a few days he does stuff like that. He keeps trying to do wings and wave together, so enthusiastically he almost falls off the perch!

Sorry, I'm just going to do a plug.
I highly recommend buying Barbara Heidenreichs dvd on parrot training. http://www.goodbirdinc.com/parrot-store.html
I think you will find more benefits from that then just that trick.

Claire
