Why can't I attach pictures?

If I use an outside link, it says I look too spammy and when I try to attach the file it says the forum quota has been reached.
Am I doing it wrong or something?

i would love to know this answer to, it happens to me to and just says the quota has been reached or the pictures to large! whys this happening? also how long have you been apart of this site because im only new and not sure if its because we are new :s

Attaching photos to the board itself takes up room (data) and would limit our posting and use of the board, therefore there is a limit and it was reached a while ago. The best way to post photos is to upload them to another site and use the Img codes to post them.

As for why you might not be able to use an outside link, I don't know the parameters Imran has set for that. It might be part of bot control or spam control within the board's programming itself. Just give it some time.

I know that you can't post an image (using Ellie's explanation as shown by Melika) until you've been a member of the site for 5 days and made 10 posts. It just prevents spammers coming in, signing up and spamming us all with their website or porn links or something like that.

Yep! I'm getting impatient. Hopefully tomorrow I can put up pictures of my little cutie!

Links have the same restrictions as pictures because quite often that's all spammers want to post is links to another website.... so this feature is disabled for new sign-ups.... and it works pretty well. We still get spam but you can see that they attempted to post links and they can't do it. Annoying for those who are legitimate posters though.
