my dads want to breed all year, at the moment the male is making the noise he makes before they breed but they dont have a box because its nearly winter
last year dad left there box in and they had babies in winter and only one survived long enough to be hand raised

Hi Bec,

They do start around now but usually dont do the deed until the end of winter!!!.

It may be because they are in a cage inside the house and the house may have an aircon that is simulating the end of winter and not the start!!.
\Maybe give them more outside time so they realise its gtting colder and not warmer.

Hi Bec! My 2 are flirting like crazy too.. I have put the nest box out but they havnt done the deed yet.. i thought we wouldnt see this for another few months too! Maybe all this crazy weather lately and a unusually humid wet summer in Melb/early winter weather has tempted them early? But my 2 are indoors too and i always have the ducted heating on? strange birds!

the only thing on it was computor games........
