I just checked my Lution Pairs nest box, as they were going at it all weekend! and i have 1 egg
i just hope it is good, i'm just a little bit worried as a 1st time mummy
Haha awesome news Mjay! I had a good chuckle at "they were at it all weekend" comment!
I have joined the egg club, mine have 2, but I'm no where near as excited as you lot because I have not observed mine to be "at it" at all, but being untamed they may prefer privacy, so maybe they were at it when I am at work. I hope so anyway!
i have been working so much, so that is the only free day i had in a while
i have only had time to quickly feed/water them all, so i am very excited to have witnessed the love!!!! (hope i don't sound like a perv, lol)
but i am so worried i didn't give them enough nutrients ect......

Mjay wrote:ok, so every second day
plus is the incubation 24-26 days from when the first egg is laid or the last, any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated
Great!!! You can expect anything from 3 to 5 eggs. They usually lay an egg every second to 3rd day. Its best to start counting the inqubation day's from the last egg that was laid. Some Hens only start inqubating when all the aggs are laid. Some hens start immidiatly Congrats!!
Maybe thats it Mjay usually 1 or 2 days between them.Is the hen sitting on them yet? Does the hen seem ok health wise?
I thought mine was finished laying on wed but there was another there yesterday.Hope all goes well with yours
If they were still mating on the weekend you may still get more eggs, i will see if I can locate the thread about mating and eggs.
