just a little update, i got 2 chicks at the moment, they have just hatched only 1-2 days old... : D


i want to know what kind of food is good for feeding the parents right now???

ive been reading on net and it say feeding them sunflower seeds that been germinated abit is good for it as it has high protien for the parents to feed the chics... is there others food i can feed it?? cheers...

feed the adults more fruit and vegtables when they have babies, they give the babies more vitmins

Spinach, brocolli, carrots, sprouts (or sprouted seed), oranges, apples and grapes are what I generally make sure they have constant supplies of while the parents are rearing the young. Really any good quality fruit and veg is fine, but some are better than others.

Dont go changing their seed / pellet diet much from what you have been doing, as I have found that this can actually annoy the parents more than anything, and causes discomfort in the camp if that makes sense.

Just focus on making sure there is loads of fresh water and fresh fruit and veg.

thanks for the info guys, right now both chicks are doing well...

they are about 6 weeks old this weekend are both are green birds
