African Ringneck Indian Ringneck

Post by everardor »

Umm I was given a African Ringneck about 2 weeks ago and put it in the cage with my Indian Ringneck Female they have become really close. Im wondering if they could breed together? They been acting funny real friendly cleaning each other feeding each other and doing weird things....
O_O lol I did not realize that it was a african ringneck when I first put him in the cage but now i know by doing a little research that its not a IRN so im just debating whether to take him out or not help?

The can hang out together and play but in my opinion they should not be allowed to breed and produce hybrids.

Do a search on "hybrid" on this board and read up the arguments on both sides of the issue.

I know a breeder who did breed and african to an indian and she said the babies were wonderful.

I don't know about the arguements for purity vs hybrids, but her experience was really good.
