ok i'm guessing the Jeremy means cocks will be blue, split for white.

but how do you tell?
would be nice to be able to sex on colouring (mutation)

also what with the cock is also split for white?

Blue/Ino means Blue split Lutino. Albino (White) is a combination of two mutations, namely Lutino and Blue.

The nature of a "split" is it is not manifested visually as the recessive gene is only carried in one chromosome. A recessive mutation will only be visual if it is carried by two opposing chromosomes.

Gender identification of offsprings is possible only if the father is a sex-linked mutation (such as Lutino, Cinnamon, Lacewing) and the mother is not. All visual sex-linked mutations will be females. The rest will be males.

For example, if you mate an Albino male with a Blue hen

Albino cock x Blue hen
=Blue/Lutino cocks
=Albino hens

So all Albinos will be hens and all solid Blue colors will be males. No need for DNA.
