You should not cross breed anything with your IRN

why would you even consider it? genetics are not something to toy around with.

Do you mean colour wise or species wise? If species, why would you want to?

If it's a green ringneck and a blue ringneck I'm sure it's okay. If it's a ringneck with a macaw or something like that then that's a no no.

SHEWWW Your post had us all worried for a minute. Yes you can breed a green with a blue. Thats how we get all the different mutations.

OH! i just thought breeding different colours can produce unhealthy chicks
but i would never try to breed another species with my ringneck

Yes you are family and sometimes family members are straight-shooters. Expect that here, though NOONE will disrepect you.
We are familiar with awful practices... breeders mixing all sorts of birds and well, its not good for obvious reasons. Practices that would turn your stomach and evoke feelings of violence within you.
Thats why we were so shocked/concerned.
