Lacewings

Post by bonjoram »

skray and Jeremy...

Can you get Blue, Grey, and Green Lacewings from mating a Grey Lacewing cock and a Cinnamon split to Blue hen? If not, what are the possible offsprings besides Green?

Thanks,
Bon

Grey Pallid Cock x Cinnamon/Blue Hen:
=Green/Blue/Cinnamon/Pallid Cock
=Blue/Cinnamon/Pallid Cock
=Grey Green/Blue/Cinnamon/Pallid Cock
=Grey/Cinnamon/Pallid Cock

=Green Pallid/Blue
=Blue Pallid
=Grey Green Pallid/Blue
=Grey Pallid

So to answer your question, yes, you can get Blue, Grey, and Green Pallids.

If you have the time and roon, it would be worthwhile taking a Grey/Cinnamon/Pallid Cock and pairing it with a Blue Hen, you would get:
=Blue Cocks
=Blue/Cinnamon/Pallid Cocks
=Grey Cocks
=Grey/Cinnamon/Pallid Cocks
=Blue Hens
=Blue Cinnamon Pallid Hen (Skyblue Lacewing)
=Grey Hens
=Grey Cinnamon Pallid Hens (Silver Lacewing)

Skyblue and Silver Lacewing...cool. I'll keep an eye for a Grey Cinnamon Pallid cock.
