Hi, I have a pair together who have already laid once this year. Out of her first clutch of 5, the frist two chicks hatched immediatly disapeared from the nest box. I beleive the male has eaten them upon hatching.
I had moved the eggs and got one baby. Now, with the babies due to hatch any time now, I am considering pulling all the eggs and moving them under other foster parents, or pulling the cock bird out and let mom raise them on their own for the first week or so to get them larger.
Any thoughts as to a preferable solution?
Thanks!
