will tis reduce the chances of him bonding with my hen?

Post by driver_hr »

Hello guys i am looking for a cock bird for my yellow hen. I have found one on birdtrader but it was paired up but recently lost his mate.

Is it a good idea to pair him up with my hen? Is it less likely for him to bond with then hen as he was recently bonded with another bird? Or doesnt this reduce his chances of bonding with another bird?

I just dont know if its worth me waiting till a bird comes along who hasnt bonded with a hen before.

Thanks

Hi

Ringnecks don't bond for life and are quite flirty birds so it shouldn't be a problem. It is coming to the end of the season now so they may not bond this year but a very good possiblity next year.

Hope that helps.
