Getting frustrated

Post by tonian2 »

...and I dont know if its me or him or her that's more frustrated! lol

My two irn's are courting and there is quite a lot of activity going on around the cage. A lot of clucking and alot of heading bobbing and neck rubbing. My male Rafi is even now trying to get on her back which he has done a few times but oh my goodness he is sooooo unco-ordinated its frustrating to watch lol. Firstly they try this in the most awkward of places which often results in him sliding off. Or he has so much trouble trying to get on that he tries from all angles (including trying to mount her head  ) and eventually she gets frustrated with him and he gets the old 'get off' warning! I know this is knew for all of us but I wish they'd just get it on already

:D Mine mated for the first time last year and I noticed that they were uncoordinated too! Must just be how they learn! My guys haven't mated yet this year though (at least not that I've seen it).

I covered mine up this year. I actually hear my neighbours talking about bird porn and standing at the fence showing their visitors how they do it.
