ringneck not sitting on egg

My pair laid their first egg this will be their first clutch but the female is not sitting on the first egg? Is this normal or do you think since it is their first clutch ever that they just don't know what they are doing?

yes it's normal they normally start sitting when the third egg is laid

This is my first clutch also thank you mikes I have others cockatiel and love bird pairs but they always sit after the first is laid so a little different with ringnecks I guess

Jewel our female Turquoise lacewing started sitting on her eggs today she now has two eggs so not as worried any more also I am not sure what the male is split to but guess we will find out if all goes well he is a visual blue so exiting hope all goes well
