Can an african ringneck and indian ringneck mate?
Hi I have a green male african ringneck and a grey indian ringneck and I put them in a cage together in the summer and the indian ringneck I thought was a young male because who I bought it from. But now they indian bends down foward and shows affection to the african and he touches beaks with the indian and rubs his head over the indians body. Should I put a nest box and leave them alone because they are doing this stuff in my living room in front of us? and is it possible for them to mate and how would their babies look?

They can breed but it shouldnt be encouraged. Best to let them breed with their own species.

hi, a quick question on the same subject, a friend of mine has a pair of those 2 sub-spices and the already mate, the eggs haven't hatched on the normal 24 days, but the first 2 on the 29th... the babies were very weak and eventually died... is it because of the difference of the spices or something else could have gone wrong?
