alexandrine and irn

Post by Holtsoi »

just wondering can an alexanderine and irn breed. i got them both a few months ago and still too young to breed but i think the irn is a male and the alex is a female, was hoping for two males but happy with whatever they are. if they can breed are there any pictures of the birds that could be expected.

They can breed. In fact it was breeding the Lutino Indian Ringneck to the Alexandrine that introduced the Lutino into Alexandrines. It takes many years to do this though. From your point of view there is nothing to gain from it except breeding birds that arent any good to anyone. If you did go down the breeding path I would get them each their own partner of their own type.
