you need to keep him warm, and if you have no exp hand raising its recommended finding a breeder who has.
As there are special solutions etc a one day old chick needs, but main thing is to get the baby inside, in a warm, and as sterile as possible environment...

do u have a vet or pet store near you that specialises in birds?
They could possibly give you advice and the correct feeding solutions and formula's.
Where are u from?

Hi, i live near pittsburgh, pa. I have no experience with baby birds, this is the 1st time she laid eggs. I have him in a box with a towel and keep putting a heat lamp on him but can he make it till tomorrow morning without eating? It's 2:19 am here and nothing is open to go get him what he needs. I don't want him to die. Please let me know what to do, i do have a place who can take him in the morning but not right now.

he shoould be fine, for the first 12 hours they do not need food, as the last bit of the yolk is still being absorbed into the body.

keep your baby at a stable warm temperature and he should be fine. try not move him around too much, let him settle in his box, stabilise the temp and he should be perfectly ok till morning!

Best of luck!

let me know how it goes!
