I have a serious problem - please help

I have two ringnecks. I bought one from someone who told me that she had been DNA tested and was a girl - she has no ring. I also have a green IR, and he is starting to get his ring although it is still quite faint. My boy (bert) keeps going in the nesting box, Daisy goes in there sometimes but only when bert is in there. Daisy has started getting on top of Bert and making all the moves I thought he was supposed to make. Does anyone else have this problem ? They are really affectionate to each other, they feed each other and seem really happy but must be confused about what they are supposed to be doing !
