Remove or dont remove the young?

Hi all,

I new to breeding INR's I inherited 4 breeding pairs from my grandfather who can no longer look after them.

do you remove the young from the breeding boxes or do you let them come out on their own?

Hi Glen,
Leave the youngsters to come out themselves. It takes another 3-4 weeks before youtake them away, after you can see them eating on their own.

OK, I just had one die in the nest box, he was just about to start getting his colour feathers, unfortunately I only found out by the looks after a couple weeks and could not tell if he was dmaged or not.

It depends on if you are planning on handraising the chicks. If not, then leave them in the nest, unless there is a parent problem then you may need to intervene and either raise the chick yourself or, if you have another hen that is able to look after the chick/s, then give them to her.
Parent raised chicks will leave the nest when they are ready to.
