Hi,
My name is david and most of you RIngneck lovers know me. I am the 16 now 17 yr old boy who breeds them. Well I have 4 pairs
pair 1: green hen 5yr x green male 3yr on 3 eggs
pair 2: blue hen 5yr x lutino 5 yr male on 3 eggs
pair 3: violet hen 2 yr x blue male 4 yr on 5 eggs
pair 4: Turquoise cobalt hen 1yr x violet lace male 1 yr (breeding so hopfully eggs soon )
so today the when to pair 2 as their eggs should have hatched but none were so I candled them and could not see much (nothing really) so I put them into a incubator just in case. I hope the hen goes for a second shot this is the seconde year the male has failed me
I also whet to pair 1 as their eggs should be hatching next week ( I also candled them and they are all fertile) but I am not sure what to do. I am thinking of taking them out now and incubating them. Do you think she might go back down? its still breeding season over in adelaide for 2 more months.
thanks for any help

Hi David,
Well everything sounds like it is going along smoothly.
I found that this season the weather has not really warmed up so some of my clutches have taken a little longer to hatch out.
However in saying that everything that was fertile did hatch out.
Nice to hear that you are keen to do some hand rearing. Have you reared from the egg before?
That is an experence in itself. Two hourly feeds....hmmm
There is still plenty of time for your birds to go down again.
Best of luck....let us know when they hatch
