Broken Egg D=

Hi,
I looked in the hens box today to find 3 eggs..... but 1 broken..... I dont think she had finished her whole cluch yet. should I wait for her to finish her whole cluch befor I take the broken egg out? or should I take it out now?

If the hen is out of the nest, I would remove the broken egg. If she is in the nest and you try to remove it, she could panic and break more.

ok, this is going to be hard. When I walk into her aviary she flys in their. :?

I wait until I feed out fruit and veg, then when I see the hen out, I race in the aviary and check the box. Maybe yours will be too busy eating to. :) But most of my breeders are aviary bred. Jasper, who is hand reared, goes into the nest when I enter the aviary. Not sure how she is going to react when/if she has bubs.

Hi,
I would take the broken one out. As Pinkdevil says...feed a little fruit and veg...the hen should come out for a few mins to feed and to do her business....good luck...you will be fine! :)
