Welcome Dawn and Echo.
yep, they can be a real pooping machine at times.....about every 10-15 minutes is toilet time. You can actually toilet train birds. One person I know has trained her love bird and he poops on command. Neat trick, hey!? lol

Hi Claire, welcome to the forum and congrats on your ringie. Each bird is different so there is really no set rule to abide by, just a guide that may or may not work. Hand raised or even semi tame birds are obviously easier to handle than a aviary bird who little human contact. If you allowed him ou...

Bit scary, huh?
Birds (and animals) are great at hiding any illness and problems, really have to know your birds personalities and quirks to detect early problems. Lucky you were able to catch it in time and have Roxy, and the others, on the mend.

Ringies are intelligent hey. 99% of my babies have worked out how to open cage doors that lift up, so I have to put dog clips on every one. They even open their feed dishes doors and crawl out of there when I am cleaning their dishes!

It will be a challenge, but think of the rewards when you have a beautiful quiet bird down the track.
Have a look in the 'Behaviour and taming' section of the forum. Plenty of info there.
