If you want a cuddly bird, ignore the growling and threats and stroke that baby. Datsun used to growl and bite when I tried to pat her but loves it now.

If you get your bird used to it then generally they end up enjoying it.

Datsun only had 5 tail feathers when I got her and now at just over a year old she is growing all her new ones in during her full moult.

Believe it or not its actually the budgie that pushes big ol Datsun around!!!! When Chevy doesnt want to play anymore he bites toes, mine, Datsuns.... anyones so they will walk away and leave him alone! Budgies are VERY aggressive birds, so are lovebirds....
